Online Couples Counselling UK – Reconnect, Communicate, Move Forward
Perhaps you and your partner are looking for ways to communicate in a more constructive way. Maybe you are ready to take a big milestone step in your relationship and want to explore the impact it could have. You might find yourselves arguing more than usual, struggling to communicate without things escalating, or feeling distant, disconnected, or unheard.
If that sounds familiar, you’re not alone, and things can change. I offer online couples counselling across the UK, creating a calm, structured space where both of you can slow things down and feel properly heard. I don’t take sides or place blame. Instead, I help you understand the patterns you’re stuck in and support you in finding healthier, more constructive ways to communicate and relate to each other.
My approach is grounded in humanistic and emotionally-focused therapy. That means we focus on your real, lived experience, what each of you is feeling, what you need, and what this relationship means to you both. Whether you’re facing ongoing conflict, communication difficulties, or a growing sense of distance, couples therapy can help you reconnect and move forward with greater clarity and understanding.

Couples Therapy Is a Big Step
Starting couples counselling is both an emotional and financial investment. It’s not always easy to reach this point, and it’s natural to have questions or hesitation about whether it’s the right step. At the same time, many couples find that without support, the same patterns continue, conversations go in circles, distance grows, and things can begin to feel stuck or uncertain. Therapy offers a space to pause, reflect, and begin to understand what’s really happening between you, so that change becomes possible.
I aim to keep my fees as accessible and transparent as possible. Couples sessions are £60 for a 90-minute session, offering you the time and space to explore things properly without feeling rushed. This is a longer session than many standard therapy formats, allowing both of you to speak, be heard, and work through what’s important at a steady, supported pace.
Before committing to ongoing sessions, you’re welcome to book a free 30-minute introductory session.
This gives you both the chance to:
-
Get a feel for how I work
-
Talk a little about what’s been happening
-
Decide whether this feels like the right fit for you
There’s no pressure to continue, just an opportunity to take that first step and see how it feels. You don’t need to have everything figured out before starting. Often, the hardest part is simply beginning the conversation.

It's Not Just Me...
Relationships can be one of the most meaningful parts of life, but they can also become a source of stress, confusion, and emotional pain when communication starts to break down. You may find yourselves having the same arguments over and over again, struggling to truly hear each other, or feeling misunderstood despite trying to explain how you feel.
Sometimes the difficulty is obvious, such as conflict, distance, or a breakdown in trust. At other times, it can be more subtle, a growing sense of disconnection, less emotional or physical intimacy, or the feeling that you’re no longer on the same page.
For intercultural couples, differences in values, communication styles, or expectations can add another layer of complexity. For same-sex couples or those in open or non-traditional relationships, there can also be unique pressures, misunderstandings, or a lack of spaces where your relationship is fully understood and supported.
These challenges don’t mean your relationship is failing. More often, they reflect patterns of communication and emotional response that have developed over time, patterns that can leave both partners feeling stuck, frustrated, or alone within the relationship.

Recognise This Dynamic?
Do conversations sometimes escalate quickly, or shut down altogether? Do you find yourselves reacting to each other in ways you later regret, yet struggling to change the pattern?
Perhaps one of you feels unheard, whilst the other feels criticised or misunderstood. You may both care deeply about the relationship, but still feel distant, disconnected, or unsure how to bridge the gap between you. Have you noticed moments where you’re talking, but not really connecting?
If you’re in an intercultural relationship, you might also wonder whether differences in background or upbringing are being fully understood. If you’re in a same-sex or open relationship, you may have experienced that not all support spaces feel relevant or inclusive of your reality. This can make it even harder to find the right kind of help.
If any of this resonates, you’re not alone. Many couples reach a point where their usual ways of communicating stop working, and what once felt natural begins to feel strained or uncertain.
How to Reconnect...
Couples therapy offers a space to step out of these patterns and begin to understand what’s really happening between you.
I provide a calm, supportive environment where both partners can feel heard, respected, and understood. Rather than focusing on who is “right” or “wrong,” we work together to explore the underlying emotions, needs, and communication patterns that may be keeping you stuck. This process can help you move from conflict and misunderstanding towards greater clarity, connection, and mutual understanding.
I have experience working with a wide range of relationships, including intercultural couples, same-sex couples, and those in open or non-traditional relationships. This means you can bring your full relationship into the room, without needing to explain or justify its structure.
Whether you’re looking to rebuild trust, improve communication, reconnect emotionally, or simply understand each other more deeply, therapy can help you move forward in a way that feels right for both of you.
If you’re ready to take that step, you’re welcome to get in touch using the contact form on this page to arrange an initial session.
